Rodney Bullock led the victors with 7 points, Kent Hansen and Briant Gurney with 6 each/ In the second game the Magrath Zen­iths led by Ron Elhert and Taylor with 12 points each won over Milk River Comets 49"45. This is the sixth game which this team has played this season. They have won 5 losing the other to Raymond by one point in overtime. They also won the Cardston tournament. Next week the Zen­iths will travel to Cardston for a regular league game with the Cougars, Friends will be sorry to hear of the death of Mrs. ' Louise Johnson of Salt Lake City Utah, Mrs. Annie Hillmer, a sister, left immediately to attend the funeral. Mr, and Mrs, Bert Gibb, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Dudley, »‘ Mb. and Mrs, Ted Hocking, Mr. and Mrs. George Dudley all of lfe.gra.th motored to Kettle Falls, Washington'recently and’ joined Mr. and Mrs. Joe Elder of Provo, Utah, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Elder, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Wolsey and Mr, and Mrs. Bamy Miller of Kettle Falls and Mr. and Mrs. Gibson Sears of Spokane, Washington in a family reunion of the Elder family. Thanksgiving dinner was enjoyed at the Miller home* Tuesday evening an enrollment and 11 Fly Up" ceremony for Brownies and Guides was held in the Ifegrath United Church Hall. Brownie leader Iaura Harker (Brown Owl) assisted by Iferie Minor enrolled Tweenies Judy Hillmer, Susan Minor, Carol Harker and Beverly Owens as Brownies, Two Brownies, Linda Robinson and Joanne Flaman walked up to Guides and Brownie Donna Minor flew up to Guidew in a ceremony assisted by Guide leaders Jesse Austin and Dorothy Minor, Cookies and punch were served to mothers Brownies and Guides at the conclusion of the evening. Mr, and Mrs, Win, T. Ifessey celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary Sunday, During the afternoon and evening over 200 friends and relatives from Magrath, Taber, Lethbridge and Raymond called to extend congratulations and best wishes. Telephone messages were received from as far away as Vancouver and Los Vegas while many many cards and bouquets of flowers were received from well wishers. The Lethbridge Symphony Orchestra will be appearing this Sunday afternoon at 3 FM on CJIM TV in a half hoar of Christmas music, Mrs. June Ifetkin and children of Milk River were Ifegrath visitors Sunday, Among the footprints in the sands of time some people leave only the marks of a heel. Mr, and Mrs, Ted Hocking motored to Devil’s lake, North Dakota for a weeks visit with relatives. One brother Burdett is a dentist. Ted is very anxious to keep his wisdom teeth intact. He plans on kill­ing "two birds with one stone". One of the staff said Ted was born'in Canada, One said he was 60 years old, another 55 and one guessed 50* n ’ 1 We recall him telling us of being in the same class at school with our daughter Alice. He and two or three others copied her answers he said. Once she made a mis­take and then the teacher found them out. Alice is 48 - then how old is Ted? Arthur Critchfield "I have always been a little absent minded and old age hasn’t improved it any". On the wind - "Are your buildings still standing?" Arthur asked, "I have never ’ known of a building I built to blow over." Pope John 23 at the Ecumenical Council in Rome where 2500 bishops, archbishops and cardinals are meeting.
