In December the grade 6 classes are going to have an opportunity to experience flying in conjunction with their study of aviation. BAKE SALE . Also anyone in the community wanting to donate baking would be welcome to bring it wrapped ready for sale to the grade 6 classroom at 3:30 p.m. ****** Parent/Teacher interviews for Jr/Sr. High School will be held on Thursday evening November 6. Monday November 10th will be the Schools Remembrance Day Program at 10:15 and this involves all the students from K - gr. 12. November 11th is Reritiembrance Day and there will not be any classes that day. ****** Remembrance Day is Tuesday November 11, and the Trading Company will be closed, but will resume it's regular hours on Wednesday November 12. *PIease remember that the Store News will be closed on Tuesday November 11th, so please help me out and get your announcements to me by noon on Monday. Noel Smith played bass & sang a lot of nice good old country tunes. Perry Kenney from Magrath did some nice vocals for everyone to enjoy. Perry is featured as an opening guest at the Southern Alberta Blue Grass and Country Music Jam in the Scandinavian Hall in Lethbridge on Sunday Nov. 16 at 1 p.m. Take it in. Ernie Wiebe from Coaldale stopped by and helped out on bass guitar. A nice pleasant surprise was listening to Cheryl Walberger of Magrath do a great job on a few old songs. Although she didn't play an instrument there is always someone willing to do some instrumental back-up. Johnny Panczak sang some of his favorites and he thanks all the entertainers that came out to help put this event together. Call Robert @ 758-6212. ******Magrath Minor Hockey "MIDGET CHIEFS" Tile Midget Chiefs are playing this Saturday in Magrath at 4 p.m. against Vauxhall. Remember that it is FREE and great entertainment. The Pre-Novice Stingers played again on Sat. Nov. 1st against Lethbridge. Tyson Hudson dazzled everyone by scoring the first goal of the game before everyone even got turned around. He was assisted by Chase Helgeson. Joseph Anderson passed off to Mitch Maxwell who skated through everyone to score the next goal and then did it again when Conner Kenny secured the puck and passed it to him. Cody Foggin was the goalie for the 1st period and did a great job of keeping out the puck. The 2nd period saw Mitch Maxwell in the net and some excellent steals by Shane Eyre and Nigel Atwood. We didn't score in this period but the other team didn't score much either. In the last period Devon Millward put on the goalie pads & did he ever look great in them. Taylor Evans snuck the puck away from the other team for a couple of breakaways & Mitch Maxwell scored his 3rd goal. Chase Helgeson also kept Lethbridge on their toes in this period with a couple of great steals. Keep watching for more updates and for even more excitement, come and watch the next game on Sat.
