It is to start at the transformer by Ellison Mill, go to the Highway at Glen Holman's, on west for 3 miles to Navratils northeast corner; 1 mile south to A1 Paul­son; then 2 miles west to Vic Hillmer's corner; 3 miles south to Bert Parkinson's farm, then west to the river south of Steele's crossing and will follow the Mag-rath Irrigation ditch to Sandham’s north of Spring Coulee, then due west to a point <1 mile north of Ken Long's home and north to the St. Mary’s dam........ Hunters siill continue to ignore the signs. The public should assist men like Mr. Meeks who are doing much to preserve — wild life. They are the boosters and bene­factors. MEN'S OPERA STYLE HOUSE SLIPPERS 01.55 At thp-pdstponed regular meeting of the Town Council held on Tuesday night May 21 Mayor Tanner and all members of the Council were present. After reading the minutes of the previous meeting and other prelim­inary proceedings several delegations were received. Mr. D. W. Holladay asked for the support of the Council in the matter of his securing a water right for his lots in Block 65. He had interviewed the officials of the Magrath Irrigation Dist. and the said officials had suggested that he got the support 'of the Town Council In connection with his application for water. A motion was accordingly put and carried supporting the application. A committee from the Canadian Legion inter­viewed the Council in regard to securing building lots for returned men. The Coun­cil agreed to support the application of the Legion for co-operation in the matter to the extent of assisting in the purchas­ing, or securing land for this purpose + A resolution was passed asking the Lions Club to sponsor the undertaking for the establishment of a suitable memorial for the returned men and those boys who had made the supreme sacrifice. A committee from the Council was appointed to present the matter to the Lions Club. The Sugar City M.D. made ftrrmal offer to the Town to maintain the streets with the Districts.^ large road maintainer at a fee of $5.00 per hour for the large mac­hine. The Council agreed to accept the offer. Rondo Robinson was present and urged the Council to enforce the Estray Pound By-Law without any reserve. No livestock should be permitted on the streets unless the same were in charge of some responsible party. This matter has always been a bone of con­tention in the Council. It was finally agreed to permit rows to run on the streets after the herd is driven from the pasture in the evening from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. and from 6:30 A.M. to 7:30 A.M. when they must be off the streets, and further that after the herd pasture is closed in the fall the Pound By-Law to be strictly enforced, on motion of Councillor Ackroyd, Councillors Woolley, Hamilton and Sheridan voting in' opposition. 0. Some people are always taking the joy out of life. We planted an acre of potatoes this year. Charles Dobra then told us this one:, " In the fall of 1940 he hired C. S. McClain to haul a truck load of potatoes ■ to Lethbridgej six ton, hauling at $2.00 a ton. Total $12.00. He was promised $7.00 a ton the day before by a whole - sale fruit concern, QTpon arrival the firm refused to take the potatoes. C.S. charged him another $12.00 to truck them back to Magrath a total of $24,00. He put them back in the pit and in the spring gave them away. Friday evening over C.F.C.N. at 8:30, Capt.
