A North Dakota Army National Guard Blackhawk helicopter will land on the heart of the University of North Dakota campus at 8 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 1, as part of Military Appreciation Day activities at the school. The landing zone will be on the UND Quad grass in front of the Carnegie building (to the north). The University asks the public to steer clear of this area until the engines have been shut down. There will be UND Reserve Officer Training Corps members and University Police on hand to ensure public safety.
