Professor Mullins Elected to Board for Association of Legal Writing Directors

Professor Anne Mullins has been elected to the Board of Directors for the Association of Legal Writing Directors (ALWD). ALWD is one of the three major national legal writing organizations. The organization is committed to developing the legal writing discipline, promoting equity for professors who teach legal writing, and providing resources and support both to legal writing directors and members of autonomous programs. Professor Mullins teaches in the areas of legal research and writing, judicial writing, and trial advocacy. Her scholarship focuses on judicial writing and judicial decision-making. She presents nationwide on judicial writing and on legal writing pedagogy. Before coming to the University of North Dakota, Professor Mullins started her academic career at the University of Oregon School of Law, where she taught in Oregon’s top-ranked Legal Research and Writing Program. She earned her J.D., with honors, from the University of Chicago School of Law. She was a member of the University of Chicago Law Review, and she was named a Tony Patino Fellow for her academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to public service. She earned her A.B. from Dartmouth College
