Add to ORKGWith hundreds of tracers flaming up into the sky in steady streams. Saw a glow up in mountain from a fire. It turned out to be one of the German Junkers (JU 88) planes that had been hit and crashed. Crew of 6 men killed, 2 by jumping before crash and 4 burned in plane. Another enemy plane crashed into Mediterranean. 5 of our men killed in Argew by direct hit. Another bomb in cemetary. No causalities in our outfit. Action � hour. 5/20/43 Just at dusk. Radar picked up enemy planes coming from direction of Oran. Very high. Not heard and not positively sighted. Even heavier barage than previous night put up due to many new guns set up for harbor protection. No bombs
