We then headed south toward the Atlas Mountains, climbing steadily. We crossed the entire range at 15000 feet, flying over some of the highest mountains of the Atlas range. From this height, they appear quite flat when looking straight down. On the other side of the range lies the Sahara Desert. We came to the edge of this and the pilot, without warning wheeled in a steep bank and power dived several thousand feet. The sudden descent literally left everybody up in the air, a good many, including myself hitting the roof of the plane leaving quite a few bumps on our heads. While crossing the mountains the air was very bumpy and then the dive made quite a few air sick. We came back over the mountain
