Leonard Poleszak was born on March 4, 1928. He received his B.S. in Industrial Arts Education from the State University College at Buffalo in 1948, an Ed.M. in Secondary School Administration from the University of Buffalo in 1956, and a. Ed.D. in Industrial Education, Higher Education, and Student Training from Michigan State University in 1964. Dr. Poleszak taught at two high schools before joining the U.S. Army Special Services in 1954. In 1956, he joined the State University College at Buffalo faculty as an assistant professor in the Industrial Arts Education Division.
