Podesta, Anthony Tony oral history interview

Anthony “Tony” Podesta was born on October 24, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois to Mary and John D. Podesta, Sr. He grew up in Chicago, along with his brother, John D. Podesta, Jr. He attended the University of Illinois at Chicago, and graduate school at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). During the 1968 presidential campaign, he left school to work for Eugene McCarthy. After the 1968 campaign, Podesta worked for a short time in admissions offices before becoming active in Edmund S. Muskie\u27s 1972 presidential campaign. Podesta has continued his work as a political consultant in Washington, D.C
