地域社会と生涯スポーツ(その1) : 宮城県岩沼市の社会構造と生涯スポーツの実態

The studies on "community sport" or "Sport for All" are now in the new stage on their perspectives and analytical framework. This paper is a research note of studies that are intended to clarify the actual conditions of lifelong sport in community in the framework of life, culture and society. We investigated the social structure of community, the administrative organization of sport, and sport activities, on the case of Iwanuma City. 1. Iwanuma is divided into three sections. The center (a urban area) and the east (a farm area) sections are stagnant in population. But the west section (a residential area) is rapidly growing. 2. From a viewpoint of the population flow, Iwanuma is characterized by "the Independent City", but is closely related with Sendai City. 3. In the industrial aspect, Iwanuma has typical urban industrial structure. 4. The administrative organization of sport and physical recreation in Iwanuma is systematizing and functionating. 5. The managerial organization of sport and physical recreation in Iwanuma has produced the Sport Service reflecting the desire of citizen continuously
