地域社会と生涯スポーツ(その2) : 宮城県岩沼市のスポーツ参与の実態と地域比較

The purpose of this study is to clarify the actual situation of life-long sport in community and its regional differences, in the case of Iwanuma City. Data were collected from 599 adults, by using the questionnaire method. The following results were obtained. (1) The samples were involved more frequently in sport than those in nation-wide data. But the frequency and kind of sport event of "the regular sport participa-tion" were not different so much. (2) The main reasons infruence on nonparticipation were "no time", "vague", and "tiresome". (3) There was a great difference between the sport events at the present time and the desired ones in future. (4) The ratio of sport involvement was highest in the residential area, lower in the commercial area, and lowest in the agricultural area. It was thought that its regional differences depended on the social status and lifestyle of the residents. (5) It was recognized that sport involvement was related to community aware-ness and community activities
