Saint-Laurent's priory is situated in the lower enclosure of the small town of Palluau-sur-Indre (Indre, France), at the foot of the slope dominated by the 12th century castle and the 13th century collegiate church of Sainte-Menhoulde. Today, the site is comprised of an enclosure with a church composed of an aisled nave with an apse and a crypt. Wall paintings are preserved inside the church which suggest an early dedication to the Holy Virgin which was changed to Saint-Laurent in the 15th century.Drainage work in the streets around the church brought to light occupation layers belonging to the 16th and 17th century around the apse.
