It is presented in this project a didactic proposal for students learning Spanish as a second language to develop communication and intercultural competence from beginners level. The proposal is tailored for A2 English speaking students based in England. It is intended to improve not only linguistic competence, but also sociolinguistic, pragmatic and intercultural competence that are often forgotten when teaching a foreign language. The development of these skills will allow the student to avoid cultural misunderstandings. The social use of the language, the relation with the context and the non-verbal communication are the priorities of this project.
