In the region of the Central Valleys of Oaxaca, located in southern Mexico, the family production system of indigenous birds acquires great importance as a result of generating complementary income and improving the diet of rural families, in addition to the conservation of bird genotypes adapted to the production system and ecological environment of their surroundings.
