Domestic Creole ducks (PCDs) are hardy, less nutritionally demanding, less susceptible to disease, and promising among native species due to their rapid growth rate. In Guatemala, PCDs are part of the biological heritage of people who live in rural areas. The present study aimed to characterize the backyard PCDs to identify the morphometry for their selection, conservation and use. The work was carried out in the municipalities of Camotán, Chiquimula; San Manuel Chaparrón, Jalapa and Olintepeque, Quetzaltenango.
