Resistance is an important aspect of the change process that has been often ignored. Overlooked resistance during organizational change can result in failure of the change, lack of trust, lack of commitment among employees, and even business death. To decrease these risks and its associated high costs, this paper presents leaders with strategies, processes, and tools that can help manage resistance during organizational change. Leaders have to prepare by adapting one of the three models called Iceberg Approach to Managing Change, ADKAR, or the plan, do, check, act (PDCA).
