Summary report master development plan Freehold Township Monmouth County, New Jersey

The Master Development Plan for the Township of Freehold was not prepared solely by the professional planner. Throughout its preparation it has been studied not only by the Freehold Township Planning Board but also by Township officials, notables, and interested individuals and groups. The conclusions reflect local attitudes and judgments and were made with the objective of promoting the general welfare of the citizenry of the Township. The principal features of the Plan consist of proposals for the future use of land, for an improved circulation and transportation system, and for community facilities which will be required as the Township develops. These proposals were studied separately as well as together in order to produce a comprehensive and consistent whole. In order to assist in carrying out the physical proposals of the Plan, suggestions are presented involving financial, legislative and continuing planning requirements
