This is a summary of Master Plan studies and recommendations developed over a period of approximately 18 months by the Madison Planning Board and its consultants, Community Planning Associates, Inc", of West Trenton, New Jersey. The program was financed jointly by the Township, the State of New Jersey1 and the Federal government, under the provisions of Section 701 of the Housing Act of 1954. Because of its location in the metropolitan area, it is probable that a Iarge portion of the Township1s developable land will be occupied by 1980. The community has chosen to plan for this growth, rather than leave it to chance.
