A summary of the master plan for Neptune Township, N.J.

This summary of the Master Plan for Neptune Township consists of the following 3 major parts: 1. A summary of the findings from the master plan studies, on which the plan was based. 2. The Master Plan components: the Land Use, Community Facilities and Thoroughfare Plans and the Preliminary Capital Improvement Program. 3. The next steps to take to effectuate the Plan. The following summary of findings was derived from the preliminary studies for the master plan: they consist of reports on physical characteristics, land use, population, housing, community facilities, economic base and financial studies, and capital improvements. These preliminary reports were reviewed in detail with the Township's Planning Board, during regular meetings and work sessions. The Master Plants component parts, which resulted from the previously noted studies, were also reviewed during similar work sessions with the Planning Board. Therefore the following Plan is one which has had the benefit of a substantial amount of consideration by the Planning Board of the Township of Neptune during its formulation. The recommendations which comprise the Master Plan are for a future population of 40,000 to 45,000 persons, tentatively distributed over a 25 year period
