Master Sewerage Plan for the Upper Raritan and Delaware Watersheds within Hunterdon, Morris, and Somerset Counties, New Jersey

This study of Regional Sewerage Facilities for the Tri-County area has been limited to those portions of Morris County, Somerset County, and Hunterdon County that are located in the Upper Raritan River drainage basin, as well as that portion of Hunterdon County in the Delaware River drainage basin. The study recommends that the sewerage authorities develop collection systems and treament facilities predicated on five major regional areas or drainage basins: Lower Raritan River Basin; Upper North Branch and Lamington River Basin; Middle South Branch of the Raritan River Basin; Upper South Branch of the Raritan River Basin; and Upper South Branch of the Raritan River Basin in Morris County. Other contents of the report include: general review of the present state of the art of sewage treatment; major watersheds in the study area; existing sewage treatment plants; population trends and projections; detailed descriptions of the Raritan and Delaware watersheds; and appendices.This report has been prepared with the financial assistance afforded by a grant from the New Jersey State Department of Environmental Protection in accordance with the applicable sections of the New Jersey State Public Sanitary Sewerage Facilities Act of 1965.Purpose: To describe the results of a study of regional sewerage facilities for Morris, Somerset, and Hunterdon Counties
