ABSTRACT Aris Setyono, S351602012, LIMITATION OF LEGAL NOTARIES WHICH ACCEPTES CRIMINAL ARTICLES OF AUTHENTIC ACTING, Master Program of Notary of Law Faculty of Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta. This study aims to analyze the accountability of a notary who commits an authentic act of counterfeiting and analyzes the legal effect of the deed as a result of an authentic act of counterfeiting by a notary. This research is normative legal research (doctrinal). Judging from its nature, then this research is included into the nature of normative research. Analysis based on deduction logic. case approach (Case Approach). Based on the research and discussion it can be concluded that the accountability of a notary who commits an authentic act of counterfeiting must be criminally accountable as set forth in the provisions of Article 264 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code concerning authenticity of authentic documents ie Counterfeiting is punishable by imprisonment maximum of eight years, if done against authentic deeds. The legal consequence of the deed as a result of an authentic act of counterfeiting of the deed done by the notary is the loss of the perfection and can be undone.
