Muscular fatigue is often defined as the reduction in force generating capacity of the neuromuscular system that occurs during sustained activity. Previous studies reported that literally each step of event in muscle contraction could be a site for fatigue. Nevertheless, the resultant observations are conflicting, in regard to age and sex effects of alterations in neuromuscular system during fatigue.
