Dalla Wertrationalität all’indagine empirica dei valori: problemi e prospettive

After placing the question of values and their components, this paper aims to examine the relationship between values and action as it was suggests by Max Weber. He distinguishes the value-rational action both from emotional and traditional action and from means-end rational action. On the basis of Weber’s contribution, in the second place, the paper draws some conclusions about the surveys on values which cannot be limited simply to investigate opinions and attitudes of a population but rather have the aim to study its values
