The aim of the Ph-D thesis is to study ignition mechanisms of a flame kernel in laminar and turbulent flows. First, a preliminary study is devoted to the analysis of the laser-induced spark ignition system and to the study of the flame kernel initiation in premixed laminar flow. Then, the study of the ignition is performed in turbulent premixed flow, to highlight the influence of velocity turbulent fluctuations on the flame kernel initiation.
