This paper attempts to determine and classify strategies employed in the process of dub localization of the selected films. The term “dub localization” encompasses different changes undertaken to adapt a film to the foreign market. The strategies are classified in several fields that illustrate the specific problems the translators cope with in the process of dub localization: nonstandard varieties, culture-bound elements, idioms and songs. The analysis of strategies employed for each of this field is based on the comparison and description of various differences between the original English dialogues and the translation.
