The South Tyrolean autonomy,designed to protect the german-speaking linguistic minority of Bolzano,is still a requirement?Answering this question will be the purpose of the following study. The bases of the particular status of the province,in fact,were placed in the aftermath of the second world war. Today,however,many characters have changed. The Italian Republican Constitution,in its fundamental principles,recognizes the equality of every citizen and,above all,the industrial Nation-State is in crisis,increasingly depleted in its legislative and decision-making prerogatives by a global market and transnational institutions (such as the EU)
