The article considers the presence of artworks's reproductions inside videogames. In particular, the digital "quadreria" visible in the videogame "Enter the Matrix" (2003) is analyzed. This collection is specially significant due the literarian origin of the subject and its previous cinematographic transformation. In this context, two paintings by J.-L- David ("The Lictors bring to Brutus the Bodies of his Sons" and "The Oath of the Horatii") are discussed. Contemplating them, the player can discover their deep symbolic meanings and the stylistic analogies with the war actions requested by the game
