Die steigende Bedeutung der Aquakultur und die damit verbundenen Aspekte zur nachhaltigen Entwicklung gaben Anlass für diese Arbeit. Untersucht wurde hierzu das Fallbeispiel der fränkischen Teichwirtschaft ohne dabei auf die Einbettung in einen ganzheitlichen Kontext zu verzichten. Die untersuchten Systeme zeichnen sich durch viele Besonderheiten aus, dazu zählen allerdings auch negative Einflüsse, welche eine rentable Bewirtschaftung erschweren. Eine Maßnahme, um dieser negativen Entwicklung entgegen wirken zu können, war die Einführung von zwei geschützten geographischen Angaben (g.g.A.)
