Pengaruh Konsentrasi Bahan Pengikat Na-CMC dan Bahan Penghancur Starch 1500 Pada Tablet Ekstrak Biji Alpukat (Persea americana Mill.) Dengan Factorial Design

Avocado seed is a traditional medicine that has flavonoid as antiolesterol. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of various concentrations of Na-CMC as binder and starch 1500 as destroyer on the physical properties of tablets and obtained the optimum formula from avocado seed extract tablets. Tablets were made 4 formulas with various concentrations of Na-CMC and Starch 1500 (1%: 5%, 6%: 5%, 1%: 10%, 6%: 10%). Optimization of tablet were analyzed with factorial design method using Design Expert 11 (trial) program. Physical properties evaluation included flow rate, angle of repose, tapped density, uniformity of weight, hardness, friability and disintegration time. The evaluation disintegration time not in accordance with the requirements of more than 60 minutes The optimum and verification formula were analyzed using SPSS one sample T-Test with 95% confidence level. The results of this study showed that combination of Na-CMC and starch 1500 could increased flow rate and decreased angle of repose, tapped density, CV uniformity of weight, hardness and disintegration time. The optimum formula of Na-CMC was 17,5 mg and Starch 1500 was 37,5 mg. The results of t test verification showed that there were significant differences of flow rete, the angle of repose, and hardness while the friability and disintegration time test there were no significant difference
