Zum Florilegium Rossianum

The Florilegium Rossianum contains 70 chapters with sentences of Christian authors and those of the Creek antiquity. Two manuscripts provide the text, Vat. Ross. 736 (« gr. 10) and Vat. Barb. gr. 522. The collation shows that not only the florilegium, but the entire ms. of Vat. Barb. gr. 522 is an apographon of Vat. Ross. 736 (= gr. 10). Only Vat. Ross. 736 (gr. 10) is to be used for the constitution of the text. Considering the sources that were used by the compiler of the Florüegium Rossianum, it can be shown that the loci communes of the so-called Maximus have been used for the most part. Another important source has been the Florilegium ofPatmos. Another less important source is the Florilegium Atheniense. The last two mentioned florilegia are used only up to chapter 11 ; thereafter the Florilegium Rossianum is based only on the source « Maximus ». Even the titles of the different chapters (with the exception of chapter 5) are taken from « Maximus » and are written (starting with chapter 16) in the same order in the Florilegium Rossinum. The loci communes of the so-called Maximus are preserved in three redactions. It can been demonstrated, that the compiler of the Florilegium Rossianum has used a « Maximus »- text, which contained the chapters in an order different from that of most of the other manuscripts. Moreover, there are errors in common between this « Maximus «-redaction and the Florilegium Rossianum. There are some manuscripts of this « Maximus «-redaction that have a closer connection to the Flonlegium Rossianum than others, with regard to common errors, as well as the number and order of sentences in the different chapters. For an edition of this « Maximus «-redaction the Florilegium Rossianum will have to be considered as a further independent testimony.Le Florilegium Rossianum, transmis par deux mss (Vat. La collation montre que le second est un apographe du premier non seulement pour le florilège, mais pour l'ensemble du ms. Seul Ross. 736 est donc à prendre en considération pour la constitution du texte. On peut montrer que pour la plupart les loci communes du PseudoMaxime ont servi de sources. Une autre source importante est le Florilège de Patmos. Une source moins importante est le Florilegium Atheniense. Les deux derniers mentionnés sont utilisés seulement jusqu'au chapitre 11 ; ensuite, le texte est uniquement fondé sur le PseudoMaxime. Les titres même des différents chapitres, à l'exception du 5e, sont tirés du PseudoMaxime et sont écrits (à partir du chap. 16) dans le même ordre dans le Florilegium Rossianum. Les loci communes du Pseudo-Maxime sont préservés en trois rédactions. On peut démontrer que le compilateur du Florilegium Rossianum a utilisé un texte contenant les chapitres dans un ordre différent de celui de la plupart des autres mss. En outre, il existe des erreurs commune à cette rédaction et au Florilegium Rossianum. Certains mss de celle-ci montrent des rapports plus étroits avec le Florilegium Rossianum que d'autres, tant en ce qui concerne les erreurs communes que le nombre et l'ordre des sentences dans les différents chapitres. Pour une édition de cette rédaction, le Florilegium Rossianum devra être pris en considération en tant que témoin indépendant supplémentaire.Ihm Sibylle. Zum Florilegium Rossianum.
