. This research was a quasi-experimental design with randomized pretest-posttest control group. The problem in this study is whether the mathematical communication skills of students who use the Jigsaw cooperative learning model better than the students who received conventional learning models. The population in this study were all students of class VII SMP 2 Bayongbong, with samples taken by purposive sampling is class VII H (experimental class) and VII D (control class). Based on the research results of the final test, the data are derived distribution is not normal on both so that the processing of data followed by non-parametric statistical test Mann Whitney. From the analysis of the Mann Whitney test with significance level of 5% result data obtained zhitung = -2.046 and ztabel = 1.96 which is outside the reception area Ho, the Ho is rejected thus mathematical communication skills of students who get jigsaw cooperative learning model better than the students who get the model conventional learning
