<p>Each trial began with a one sentence reminder of each target to be viewed in that given trial. A 1-s still photo from the first frame of the video clip preceded the action clip, which was shown twice, back-to-back. The action clips were followed by a question about how much the subject liked the viewed targets on a Likert scale from 1 to 4. The trial ended with a 12-second rest period that consisted of a centered “X” on a blank background screen. Circles used in the manuscript to protect the actor’s identity.
