<p><b>A–C:</b> While control mice and PbN-infected mice demonstrated no hemorrhage in the brain, PbA infection resulted in significant degrees of hemorrhage in the cerebellum (F(_{2, 11)} = 7.84; p<0.01) <b>(B- arrows)</b>. <b>D–F:</b> PbA infection also resulted in significantly higher hemorrhage <b>(E- arrow)</b> in the areas associated with cognitive function, e.g. cerebral cortex <b>(D–F)</b>, corpus callosum, hippocampus, fornix and thalamus (F_{(2, 12)} = 5.29; p<0.05).
