Wild-type p53 induces galectin-7 expression in breast cancer cell.

<p>Galectin-7 and <i>TP53</i> mRNA and protein levels in MCF-7 (<b>A</b> and <b>B</b>) and MDA-MB-231 (<b>C</b> and <b>D</b>) cells following transfection with an expression vector encoding wild type <i>p53</i>. Protein levels were measured by ELISA, as described the materiel and methods section. Control cells were generated using an empty pCDNA3.1 vector. <i>GAPDH</i> was used as loading control.
