C3G and 5-ASA inhibit the production of pro-inflammatory mediators induced by cytokines in HT-29 cells.

<p>Cells were pre-incubated with 25 µM C3G or 500 µM 5-ASA or both (25 µM C3G plus 500 µM 5-ASA) and then treated with cytokines for a certain period of time. NO (A), PGE₂ (B) and IL-8 (C) production by cells were measured as described in “Materials and Methods”.
