<p>Caspase-1 was silenced in MH-s cells using siRNA (c siRNA) and negative siRNA (n siRNA). Reduced caspase-1 (45kD band) was observed by immunoblot 48, 72 and 96 following cell transfection of caspase-1 siRNA (A). SP-A enhanced IL-1β production following flagellin stimulation which was decreased when caspase-1 activity was reduced (B, C).</p
