Linear mixed-effect models examining variations in bacterial abundance.

<p>Two models including different clutch ages are examined: (i) from day 1 to day 11 (n = 29 eggs) and (ii) from day 2 to day 11 (n = 18 eggs). Log copy numbers of 16S rRNA gene are analyzed as estimator of bacterial abundance. Models are based on backward elimination procedure.
