<p>^a OTUs affiliated to the <i>Proteobacteria</i> phylum are used as representative of Gram-negative bacteria.</p><p>^b OTUs affiliated to the <i>Actinobacteria</i> phylum are used as representative of Gram-positive bacteria.</p><p>Several bacterial community characteristics are examined such as the taxonomical composition at the phylum or class levels, and the four α-diversity indices. Sample sizes are such as 17 eggs for pH, 16 eggs for lysozyme or ovotransferrin concentrations.
