<p>Downregulated genes had more exons than upregulated ones (t-test, P-value = 0.007, t = 2.848, df = 46). The genes used in this comparison were those found to be significantly different based on single factor (anoxia versus normoxia) general linear model across tissues (treatment effects only). Genes were included in this analysis regardless of their fold change.
