The effects of Beclin 2 knockdown in autophagy and cell survival.

<p>(A) The SAS cells or cells stably expressing flag-tagged Beclin 2 or (B) SAS cells transfected with control siRNA (scr), Atg5 siRNA (siAtg5) or Berlin 2 siRNA (siB2). Cell lysate were prepared after 48 h transfection and analyzed by immunoblot using the indicated antibodies. (C) SAS cells were transfected with control siRNA (scr), Atg5 siRNA (siAtg5) or Berlin 2 siRNA (siB2) for 24 h. Transfected cells were replated at 200 cells per well in 6-well plate. After 14 days, colonies were visualized using 1% crystal violet in methanol. The experiments were conducted three times independently.
