Regulation of AKT and MAPKs activations in <i>T</i>. <i>gondii</i>-infected THP-1 cells upon pretreatment with PI3K inhibitors.

<p>THP-1 monocytes were preincubated with the PI3K inhibitor LY294002 (LY) or wortmannin (WM) for 1 h, and then were infected with <i>T</i>. <i>gondii</i> at MOI 10 for 30 min. The cellular lysates were separated by SDS-PAGE and analyzed by immunoblotting using phospho-specific primary antibodies against AKT (Ser473), p38 MAPK, ERK1/2, and JNK. To ensure equal protein loading, the blots were stripped and reprobed with antibodies against AKT, p38 MAPK, ERK1/2, and JNK. A representative experiment of three independent replicates with similar results is shown.
