Report of the quinquennial review mission to CIMMYT, with transmittal to TAC by the mission chairman, Sir Ralph Riley. This was the second of such reviews organized by TAC. The report provides a description and history of CIMMYT, and discusses the three major research programs: wheat, maize, and economics. It also deals with CIMMYT's role in the preservation and evaluation of germplasm, relationships with regional and national programs, and training. It covers a variety of supporting services at the center. The panel makes a series of recommendations covering most of the aspects discussed in its report.
