System Dynamics Simulation Modeling of Transport, Energy and Emissions Interactions

dependent on the Energy resources accounting to nearly 11% of its total primary energy use which is predicted to reach 20 % by 2030. Fuel usage in transportation sector is bound to increase by 87 % in 20 years with a decrease in the available diesel stock and an alarming increase in the demand. Also the growing vehicle population has increased the contribution of Vehicular Pollution to the Urban Air Pollution from 60 % in the year 1990 to 90 % in 2010. In order to eliminate these risks the interaction between these sectors should be studied in detail. Since there was a lack of interdisciplinary works involving the sectors of Transport, Energy and Emissions interaction based on a Systems Approach this study is focused on carrying out an in depth study of the same based on Systems Dynamics principles.
