In distributed real-time computing systems for complicated applications like command, control, com-munications and intelligence, time constraints are se-vere and adaptability is required to provide high avail-ability and survivability of computing resources. In this paper, an object-oriented approach to software design for distributed real-time systems is presented. In order to support adaptability of the software system to a dynamically changing environment, our approach supports multi-versions of a method definition. Our design approach is illustrated with a hypothetical air-base defense simulation system.
