(PL 19611/0081), Ramipril 5mg Tablets (PL 19611/0082) and Ramipril 10mg Tablets (PL 19611/0083). These are prescription-only medicines to help lower blood pressure if too high (mild to moderate hypertension) and to prevent the heart getting weaker if you have recently suffered a heart attack. These can also be used to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, need for heart by-pass surgery in certain groups of patients over the age of 55 years, for example diabetics with additional risks of heart disease (high blood pressure, high cholesterol, smoking or previous heart condition). Ramipril Tablets contain the active ingredient ramipril, which acts to widen blood vessels, making it easier for the heart to pump blood through them and around the body. This helps reduce blood pressure and helps your heart work better if you have damaged heart muscle. No new or unexpected safety concerns arose from these applications and it was therefore judged that the benefits of taking Ramipril 1.25mg, 2.5mg, 5mg and 10mg Tablets outweig
