The R65Fll, introduced mid year 1983, was the first commercially available single-chip Forth "engine. " It has remained relatively unchallenged in its market position for over one year. Other single-chip systems are under development. In all probability, near the end of 1984, the F68K will become the second single-chip engine for the Forth language, with an anticipated 20 times execution speed improvement in performance over its predecessor.
