This bachelors thesis, named Packaging materials and packaging technique used in the food industry is dedicated to the most commonly used packaging materials, their properties and use. It also deals with packaging technologies, that are used in food industry, as well as machines which are related to this problem. Thesis focuses on the individual packaging materials, their composition, manufacture, both positive and negative qualities. The next section gives a detailed description of the techniques used for packing food, for which foods are the techniques appropriate and which packing materials are used with them. In the last part of thesis are shown the legislative requirements associated with the issue of packaging materials
