The aim of the Diploma thesis is to show the benefit of destination cards and the potential of a unified system of destination cards in the Czech Republic. The main aim is achieved by analyzing and comparing the offer of use of destination cards abroad and in the Czech Republic. The Diploma thesis is divided into six chapters. The first chapter deals with the definition of tourism, factors influencing the development of tourism and specification of the tourism market. The second chapter is dedicated to tourism marketing, destination marketing and tourism destination characteristics. The third chapter deals with the concept of the destination card and its use.
