Unemployment and its solutions through active policy in Slovakia with a more detailed focus on the Košice region

The aim of this Bachelor thesis is to provide an objective view of the labour market situation in Slovakia and solutions through active labor market measures that serve to improve this situation. Special attention will be paid to the Košice region between 2014 and 2015, both in terms of the overall labour market situation and the use of individual active policy instruments. The work is devided into two basic sections, namely the theoretical part and the practical part. The theoretical part deals with the explanation of concepts that are closely related to the given issue as well as with the description and definition of the conditions for participation in individual active labor market measures. In the beginning of the practical part, the Košice region is characterized and the overall labour market and unemployment situation in the monitored period is described from various points of view. Furthermore, the practical part focuses on the evaluation of selected active measures in the labour market in terms of interest about them and costs, in the whole Slovak Republic as well as in the Košice region
