Picture of Czech society in comedy and farce in the second half of 19th century

The theme of this work is not so often mentioned period in the development of Czech comedy and farce. Simultaneously it is trying to show, how the real life of these days is projected onto this plays. Attention is obviously paid to typical settings and characters. It is also mentioning these days' social problems. It uses extensive primary literature, which it is trying to set up. The contents of this work are alphabetic list of plays and list of its premieres
